As for your comment about 1st and 2nd Timothy, that was directed originally towards your claim that Christian Leaders are not supposed to be married and to stay poor. The Bible clearly allows for overseers and elders to get married. That was my point. Please keep your arguments in context. And marriage is supposed to be between 1 man man and 1 woman. The vast majority of our society, even non christians agree with this.
As for money not being for the preacher, the Bible also tells us that those who preach the gospel deserve to make their living from the gospel. In other words, a portion of the money taken in by a congregation is allowed to go to the preacher. I will agree that there certainly is a sense of reasonableness that should be maintained. Obviously no-one needs hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cars or other such luxuries, and there certainly is better thngs that that ministry money can be used for. But who are you to look at what someone has and call them a crook. How do you know where this person is getting their money from. Just because he may get some pay from the church does'nt mean he gets all of his money from the church. I know many pastors who have other legitimatel sources of income.
Might I recomend that if you're going to argue scripture, keep your arguments in context and at least read the Bible before you present your argument. Most of your arguments are so far off base it is even hard to respond to them. God Bless!
